Saramae Brinton

Saramae (Utter) Brinton, 90, of Gower, MO passed away, Saturday, January 20, 2018.
 
She was born on July 12, 1927 to Claude Milford “Pete” and Amy Charity “Rosie” (Smith) Utter in St. Joseph where she grew up.  In 1945, Saramae graduated from Central High School. 
 
On March 21, 1946 she was united in marriage to Harold F. Brinton.  After their marriage, they lived in the Dearborn and Gower areas where they farmed. In 2007 they moved to Plattsburg. Her husband, Harold, passed away, January 7, 2010.
 
Saramae participated in 4-H and always enjoyed the activities of her children and grandchildren.  She loved her years of gardening, flowering and always kept up on family birthdays.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Raymond Utter; daughter, Dorothy Mae Brinton; granddaughter, Brandi Ford; grandson, Kurt Brinton; son, Harry Brinton; daughter-in-law, Bev Brinton; and son-in-law, Roger Jackson.
 
Saramae is survived by her daughters, Kitty (Mike) Ford, Centennial, CO, Jane Jackson, Gower, MO and Mary Kay Brinton, Smithville, MO; grandchildren, Kristen (Cameron), Michelle (Mike), Amy (Jamie), Jennifer (Tim), Deanna, Danny (Abbi), Lyndsey (Jeremy), Tiffany, Sharry (Chris), Linsay (Craig), Tabitha (Kenny), Bradley (Sarah), Brandon, and Kyle; great-grandchildren, Dakota, Drew, Adriana, Jessica, Melodee, Madelynn, Kaitlynn, Christian, Sydnie, Anthony, Taylor, Tucker, Gavin, Cayden, Brooklyn, Kale, June, Clinton, Kaylin, Matthew, Aden, Carter, and Jayden; great-great-grandson, Wyatt; brother, Charles Utter; brothers-in-law, Bob (Betty) Brinton and Ronnie (Joann) Brinton; sisters-in-law, Erma Brinton, Doris Brinton, and Jean Utter; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. 
 
Funeral Service:  11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 24th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.
Burial:  Agency Cemetery.
Visitation:  6:30-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

    I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. She was the sweetest person ive ever met. I always enjoyed being her caregiver. We had many memories together. I’m so sorry I cant attend the funeral. I will have all of you in my thought and prayers. I’ll miss the wonderful smile and personality. She had!
