RUBY MAE WITT
Ruby Mae Witt, 83, of Edgerton, MO, passed away, Monday, January 22, 2007 at Golden Living Center in Smithville.
She was born on January 22, 1924 to Willie Jackson and Mary Elizabeth (Shackelford) Rolston near Ridgely, MO, where she grew up and graduated from Edgerton High School.
On June 1, 1941 she was united in marriage to Russel Jackson Witt. After their marriage they lived near Ridgely where they made their home. Her husband, Russel, passed away July 20, 1985.
Ruby was a member of the Ridgely Christian Church where she served as church secretary for many years.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gerald Rolston and Elmer Rae Ralston; sister, Zelma Pearl “Pearlie” Shafer; son-in-law, Rex Gregg; and grandson, Ryan Clark.
Ruby is survived by her children, Sheila Gregg, Smithville, Mo, Sandy Estes and husband, Pete, Bosworth, MO, Ronald Witt, Edgerton, MO, and Doug Witt and wife, Shelley, Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren, LuAnn and Rusty Gregg, Rodney Clark and wife, Amy, Matt Witt and wife, Rebecca, Heather, James Tyler, and Jackson Trevor Witt; and one great-granddaughter Kylee Elizabeth Gregg, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 25th at the Ridgley Christian Church.
Visitation: 6:30-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville
Burial: Ridgely Cemetery, Ridgely, MO.
