Roy Lee Jackson

Roy Lee Jackson, 88 of Faucett, MO, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009.

He was born on January 6, 1921 to Rufus and Ida Mae (Roberts) Jackson near Easton, MO where he grew up and attended Oakdale School. Roy Lee then served his country in the US Army during WWII.

On December 24, 1948 he was united in marriage to Lula May Davenport. After their marriage they lived in St. Joseph, MO. In 1955 they moved near Easton, MO where they farmed and made their home. They moved to the Faucett area in 1996. His wife, Lula May passed away on February 6, 1999.

Roy Lee also worked for Armour and Company in St. Joseph for over 30 years.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother, Grace L. Jackson; step-son, William Hamm; two sisters, Anna Mae Herpel and Lillie Thomas; and six brothers, Floyd, Earl, Carl, Lester, George and Edgar Jackson.

Roy Lee is survived by one son, Lee Jackson and Leca, Faucett, MO, three daughters, Bonnie Bramlage and husband, Charles, Savannah, MO, Mary Cardwell and husband, James, Easton, MO, and Linda Kee and husband, Terry, Purdy, MO; three step-sons, Thomas Hamm, Jr., Ralph Hamm, and Larry Hamm; nine grandchildren, Daniel, Michael, Andrew, Angela, Kevin, Rhonda, Crystal, Jeramy and Laci; several great-grandchildren; three brothers, Howard Jackson, Jim Jackson and Bill Jackson, all of Easton, MO; six sisters, Mary Nelson, St. Joseph, MO, Dorothy Ostrander, Gower, MO, Nadine Karrasch, Easton, MO, Donna Corey, Cosby, MO, Betty Kerns, St. Joseph, MO and Evelyn Thomas, Stewartsville, MO; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 28th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower

Burial: Blakely Cemetery, Easton, MO

Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
