Roy Lee Cockriel
Roy Lee “Bull” Cockriel 59, of Edgerton, MO passed away July 27, 2024, at his home.
Roy Lee was born on February 13, 1965, in Smithville, MO. He grew up in the area with his family and was the youngest son of Larry and Norma (Buckler) Cockriel. He graduated from North Platte High School in 1983.
Roy Lee was a gentle giant showing endless love to his family and friends. His greatest accomplishment later in life was being caretaker to his mother. The pride and joy he took through normal days was working outside keeping the yard manicured, organization of everything in the garage with a little added flower work. Then moving inside of the home, he also enjoyed those jobs like cleaning, cooking, shopping, and with the approved of Mom, some decorating. I guess you could call him “Mr. Meticulous”.
As we say “Goodbye” to our father, son, brother, uncle and friend remember this “Gentle Giant’s” smile, laughter, and great kindness he showed to all that loved and knew him.
Roy Lee was preceded in death by his son Zachary Michael Cockriel and his father Larry Cockriel.
He is survived by his mother Norma Cockriel of the home; two brothers Richard Cockriel and Randy Cockriel; sister Lori (Spencer) Blankenship; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
