Roy James “Jim” Myers, Jr
Roy James “Jim” Myers, Jr., 67 of Plattsburg, MO passed away, Monday, August 13, 2012.
He was born on July 17, 1945 to Roy James Sr. and Virginia (Tittsworth) Myers in Detroit, Michigan. Jim grew up in Easton, MO and graduated from Easton High School. He then served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
On June 23, 1967 he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Trent. After their marriage they lived in Gower and later moved to Plattsburg where they made their home.
Jim worked for Ford Motor Company, retiring after 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and flint knapping arrowheads.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Billy Myers, two sisters Judy Sloan and Janice Albin, and daughter, Teresa Lynn Myers.
Jim is survived by his wife, Mary, of the home; daughter, Tonya Winslow and husband John; grandchildren, Brandon Stewart, Jacob Stewart, Samantha Winslow and Haley Winslow; sisters, Carolyn Graham and Donna Roberts; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 15th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial with Military Honors: Mt Zion Cemetery, Gower.
