Roy F. Schlup

Roy F. Schlup, 90, of Maysville, MO, formerly of Trimble, MO, passed away, Wednesday, May 16, 2007.

He was born on June 26, 1916 to Richard and Nannie Bell (Watkins) Schlup near Gower where he grew up and attended school. Roy farmed near Weatherby and Maysville and also operated the Gas Station at Altamont.

In 1950 he married Alice Bernice (Wright) Schlup. After their marriage they lived near Trimble, where he worked for Trimble Manor Hog Farms. Roy was also a self-employed fence builder for many years. In 1992 they moved to Osborn, MO. Alice preceded him in death on May 7, 2007.

Roy was also preceded in death by his parents, one sister, May Becker, two brothers, Jesse Schlup and Stuart Schlup, and one step daughter, Carole Ann Childress.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2007 at Hopewell Baptist Church, Weatherby, MO, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial: Hopewell Cemetery, Weatherby, MO.
