In Remembrance Of

Roxie Springer

Roxie Elaine (Kavanaugh) Springer of Camden Point passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on October 9, 1929, in Essex, Ontario, Canada, Roxie was the daughter of James and Delilah (Gow) Kavanaugh.

On October 15, 1947, Roxie was united in marriage to Roy Glen William Springer, in Blue Springs, MO. Together, they raised four children: Linda Cook (Curt), Ronald Springer (Tam), Deborah Johnson (Darrell), and Juanita Farr (Kenny).

Lovingly known to many as “Nannie,” Roxie was adored for her ornery smile and her joy in visiting local garage sales. She shared her love and warmth with countless children over the years, leaving behind cherished memories for everyone she cared for. Roxie was also a member of the Camden Point Christian Church.

Roxie’s family was her pride and joy. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren: Misti Buckler (Lonnie), Kevin Cook (Mitzi), Ryan Cook (Michelle), Russell Springer (Le Awna), Reggie Springer (Venessa), Glen Johnson (Daniel Law), Marcena Fulton (Jason), Amanda Farr-Bingham (Ricky), Nikki Farr, Steven Farr (Kelly), and Stacy DeShazer (Jeremy). Her great-grandchildren include Addie Buckler, Emilee Menter (Cody), Alexa, Kaleb, and Jack Cook, Reese, Logan, and Kyndal Springer, McKenna Fulton, Jayden Bingham, Jasper Farr (Marie), Cassie Wheeler (Michael), Kayla Clark, Jessica Hillestad (Alex), and Cheyenne Farr-Smith. She was also blessed with step-great-grandchildren Grace and Lindsay Ramsey and Cruz Kolenda, and six great-great-grandchildren: Lane, Mikey, Maddie, Isaac, Ellie, and Alice.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Roy; her son-in-law Kenny Farr; and her siblings.

A celebration of Roxie’s life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Camden Point Christian Church, in care of Gloria Boyer, 19710 Kansas City Blvd., Camden Point, MO 64018.
