Rosie Lunsford

Rosie Lunsford, of Easton, MO, passed away, December 29, 2008.

She was born on June 20, 1918 to Severa and Louie (Cennedy) Russell in Wathena, Kansas. She grew up and attended school in Wathena and St. Joseph.

In 1938 she was united in marriage to George Lunsford. After their marriage they lived near Falls City, Nebraska, later moving to rural Missouri. Her husband, George, passed away in 1977. Rosie then moved to St. Joseph and in 1986 moved to Easton.

Rosie was also preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Katherine Loubey, and sister, Louise Lake.

She is survived by three sons, George Lunsford, Jr., Paris, TX, Lee Lunsford (Linda), Linn Valley, KS, and Lyle Lunsford (Peggy), Denison, Texas; five daughters, Edna Moyes (John), Agency, MO, Bettie Kelim (Louis) Mound City, MO, Rita James (Randy), Warsaw, MO, Violet Weckman (Richard) Topeka, KS, and Mary Brewer (James), St. Joseph, MO; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
