Ronnie Pruitt

Ronnie Pruitt, 61, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Gower, MO passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Delmar Gardens of Lenexa, KS.

He was born on March 30, 1950 in South Missouri. Ronnie grew up in Shawnee Mission, KS, later moved to Trimble, MO and attended Plattsburg High School.

On February 2, 1968 he was united in marriage to Linda Malott. After their marriage they raised their family in Gower, MO. They later moved to Smithville, MO. Linda passed away on July 22, 1999.

He worked for D.R. Pruitt Painting Company with his father Doc Pruitt for several years and was also a truck driver. Ronnie was an avid baseball fan, his favorite team being the St. Louis Cardinals.

Ronnie was also preceded in death by his parents, Delbert “Doc” and Winnie Marie (Sparrow) Pruitt, and one brother Jack Woods.

He is survived by one son, Jimmy Pruitt; one daughter Brandi Kensinger; grandchildren, Brittney, Kody, Shayane, Jordan, Kobie and Mia; soon to be great-grandchild; his beloved dog Buddy; sister, Beverly Johnson and husband Harold; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Visitation: 7:00-9:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville
