Ronald Lewis Greufe

Ronald Lewis Greufe, 69 of Liberty, MO passed away Saturday, September 16, 2011.

He was born on June 13, 1942 to Vincent and Allie (Cook) Greufe in Kansas City, Kansas. Ron graduated from St. John’s High School in Kansas City, MO. He attended Conception Abby in Conception Junction, MO and later graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO with an English Degree.

On June 10, 1978 he was united in marriage to Rebecca Ann Mead. After their marriage they lived in Booneville, MO and in 1988 moved to Liberty, MO where they made their home.

Ron worked as a waste water operator and later in security. He was an active member of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Kansas City, MO where he was a reader and Eucharistic Minister. Ron was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid reader and history buff.

He was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, Bob and Martha Mead; and brother-in-law, Trung

Ron is survived by his wife Rebecca; daughter Andrea Greufe; brother-in-laws, Brent and Bruce Mead and sister-in-law, Cindy; several nephews other family members and many friends.

Memorial Mass: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 21^st at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Kansas City, MO

Inurnment: Smithville Memorial Cemetery

Rosary: 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20^th at the church with visitation following until 8:00 p.m.
