Ronald L. Zuercher
Ronald L. Zuercher, 62, of Smithville, MO passed away, Thursday, February 24, 2011.
He was born on May 3, 1948 to Leslie and Elsie Gertrude (Zimmermann) Zuercher
in Hollywood, CA. Ron grew up in Benton, KS and in 1966 graduated from Berean Academy in Elbing, KS. He later received Bachelor Degrees from Grace University in Omaha, NE and Wichita State University in Kansas.
On April 14, 1979 he was united in marriage to Rebecca Ruth De Smet. After their marriage they lived in Smithville where they made their home.
Ron worked at Gospel Missionary Union/Avant Ministries in Kansas City for 35 years as a graphic designer and photographer.
He was a member of Emanuel Bible Church in Smithville for 33 years.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Lynda Lambert and mother-in-law Mary Lou De Smet.
He is survived by his wife, Becky of the home; children, David Zuercher and wife, Samantha, Sharon Zuercher, Anna Roberts and husband, Michael, Stephanie Zuercher, Jordan Zuercher; five grandchildren, Taylor, Owen, Hudson, Elise and baby boy Roberts; brother Raymond Zuercher and wife, Janell; two neices, Rachelle Clair and husband, Matt, Katelynn Zuercher; nephew, Jared Zuercher; father-in-law, Wally De Smet; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services: 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 1st at the First Baptist Church, Smithville.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the church.
Burial: 3:30 p.m. Wed. March 2nd at Swiss Church Cemetery, White Water, KS.
Arrangements, Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.
