Roger D. White

Roger Durham White, 76 of St. Joseph, MO passed away Friday, July 5, 2013 at his home.

He was born on October 10, 1937 to Neal J. and Hazel Kay (Pryor) White in Dearborn, MO.  Roger grew up in the Agency area. 

On August 15, 1954 he was united in marriage to Wanda Fern Reed.  After their marriage they lived in Nashua, MO, Edgerton, MO, Agency, MO and in 1995 they moved to St. Joseph.  His wife, Wanda, passed away May 16, 2008.

Roger worked as an over the road truck driver for Schuster Farms in Gower and retired from MODOT after 27 years of service.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, brother Jessie White, sister Dorothy Auxier, and son Dean White.

Roger is survived by his sons, James White, Atchison, KS, Gary White and wife, Lisa, St. Joseph; daughters, Cathy Chaney, St. Joseph, MO, Roseanna Ray, St. Joseph, Viola White St. Joseph, and Lori Lynn White St. Joseph; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Mead; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

Funeral Services:  11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 10^th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.

Burial:  Agency Cemetery

Visitation:  6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
