Robert Shaffer
Robert Paul Shaffer, 89, of Stewartsville, MO passed away, May 15, 2025.
He was born on October 31, 1935 to Jesse and Gertie (Boner) Shaffer in Stanberry, MO. Robert grew up in Gentry and graduated from Albany High School.
On May 12, 1962 he was united in marriage to Carol Riordan. After their marriage they lived on a farm in rural Stewartsville where they made their home and raised their two daughters.
Robert worked for H.D. Lee Company and Big Smith in St. Joseph, MO for 25 years. He then worked as a custodian for the East Buchanan School District for 16 years.
Robert was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Easton and the Easton Lions Club. He coached and played fast pitch softball for many years and was a member of the Easton Ball Association. Robert enjoyed going to auctions, loved watching East Buchanan Football and the Royals, and attending events for his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Robert is survived by his wife, Carol; daughters, Paula (Greg) Burns and Susan Shaffer; grandchildren, Bryson (Chelsea) Burns and Genifer (David) Hladky; great-grandchildren, Rayleigh, Adi, Kellen, and Reid; brother, Richard (Judy) Shaffer; other relatives and many friends.
Rosary: 5:30 p.m. Sunday, May 18th at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Easton with visitation following from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial: 9:30 a.m. Monday, May 19th at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Easton, MO.
Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Easton, MO.
Donations may be made to the Special Olympics or the St. Joseph Cemetery.

I just wanted to give my sincere sympathy for you and your family at this hard time I lost my mom a year ago and I have to tell you there is nothing any greater pain than that but losing any parent is the same I will keep you in my prayers and I hope that you all will stick together as a family because that will be what gets you through this the most
