Robert P. “Bob” Meade

Robert P. “Bob” Meade, 85, of St. Joseph, MO, formerly of Easton and Stewartsville, passed away, Thursday January 14, 2010 at Saxton Riverside Care Center in St. Joseph.

He was born on February 24, 1924 to John and Maudie Meade in Halls, Missouri, where he grew up. Bob later graduated from Easton High School. He then served his country in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant during WWII.

On July 19, 1952 he was united in marriage to Mildred White and after their marriage they lived in Easton. They later moved to Stewartsville, and in 2008 moved to St. Joseph.

Bob worked for Miller’s Garage in Easton, Missouri for over 34 years, and also served on the Easton Volunteer Fire Department for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bud and J.L., and sister, Darlene McKown.

Bob is survived by his wife, Mildred, of the home; son, Gene Paul Meade, St. Joseph; brother, Gene Meade, Easton, sister, Mary Lee Meade, Manilla, Arkansas.

At his request cremation, no visitation or services.
