Robert A. Copeland

Robert A. Copeland, 72, of Smithville, Mo., passed away, Friday, July 13, 2007.

He was born on October 31, 1934 to Fred and Ruth Alice (Hammonds) Copeland in LaGrange, GA. He grew up in Rockmart, GA and graduated from Rockmart High. He then attended Young Harris College.

Robert worked in airport construction in Georgia for many years and in 2003 he moved to Smithville, Mo.

He married Kay Kirk and later married Janice Avery. His wife, Janice preceded him and death. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a sister Judy Copeland.

Robert is survived by three sons, Barry Copeland, and Roberta, Smithville, Mo. Chris Copeland and Barbara, Marietta, Ga. and Alan Copeland and Denise , Duluth, Ga. two step-daughters Vicki and Kelly Avery living in Georgia; a sister, Maxine Coats, Rockmart, Ga., a brother Jack Copeland and JoAnn, Marietta, Ga., grandsons, granddaughters, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation: 4:00 -5:30 P.M., Saturday, July 14^th, at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.

Graveside Service and Burial: 1:00 P.M., Monday, July 16^th at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens, Mableton, Georgia. Arrangements in Georgia by
