Richard Parks

Richard Dwayne “Bear” Parks, 51, of Smithville, MO passed away June 22, 2016.

He was born on July 22, 1964 to Sidney Earl and Edith Mae (Sudbury) Parks in Smithville, MO where he grew up and graduated from Smithville High School in 1982. 

On June 24, 1984 he was united in marriage to Barbette Dally.  After their marriage they lived in Kansas City and in 1999 they moved to Smithville where they made their home.

Richard worked for MODot.  Richard enjoyed being outdoors, mushroom hunting and was an avid hunter.  He especially loved fishing with his wife Barbette and kids. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Richard is survived by his wife Barbette; children Justin Parks and Tayler Peterson; sister Deanna Hathaway and husband Bruce; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
