REX. G. GREGG

Rex G. Gregg, 67, of Smithville, MO., passed away, Wednesday, September 6, 2006.

He was born on December 8, 1938 to Glen Luther and Vivian Opal (Wolfe) Gregg in Buffalo, MO, in Dallas County, where he grew up and graduated from high school. Rex attended Southwest Missouri State University for two years. He then served his country in the U.S. Army. After his honorable discharge he moved to Kansas City and worked for TWA, retiring in 2001.

On November 13, 1965 he was united in marriage to Sheila Ann Witt. After their marriage they lived in Smithville, where they made their home.

Rex was a member of the Ridgely Christian Church where he served as a board member and Deacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Cleo Ray Herrin, and one step-sister, Irene Cleo Atteburry.

Rex is survived by his wife, Sheila, of the home; one daughter, Lu Ann Gregg and her daughter, Kylee; one son, Russell “Rusty” Gregg; and mother-in-law, Ruby Witt, all of Smithville, MO, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 10th at the Ridgely Christian Church in Ridgley, MO.
Burial with military honors: Ridgely Cemetery
Visitation: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.
