Raymond Swoboda, Jr
Raymond Swoboda, 70, of Gower, MO passed away, Saturday, September 29, 2018.
He was born on October 18, 1947 to Raymond Charles, Sr and Eileen Velma (Widman) Swoboda in St. Joseph, MO. Raymond grew up in St. Joseph and graduated from Central High School in 1965. He then attended the University of Missouri Rolla where he received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
On May 19, 1984 he was united in marriage to Linda Rotterman. After their marriage they lived in Gower where they made their home.
Raymond worked for Honeywell in Kansas City for 43 years, retiring in 2013. He enjoyed model railroading and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home; son, Raymond Swoboda III; mother, Eileen Swoboda; sister, Katherine Dooley and husband Dick; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 6th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph, MO.Donations may be made to Oakridge of Plattsburg.
