Raymond Edward Baker
Raymond Edward Baker, 78, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Camden Point, MO passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012.
He was born on February 8, 1934 to Isaac Floyd and Faye Etta (Jamerson) Baker in Brookfield, MO, where he grew up and attended school.
On April 25, 1953 he was united in marriage to Marge Stubbs. After their marriage they lived in Kansas City and moved near Camden Point. In 1981 Raymond returned to Kansas City.
He worked for General Motors for 30 years, retiring in 1982.
Raymond was a member of the Camden Point Masonic Lodge and the Eagles Lodge in St. Joseph.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Dolly Gertrude Baker, and two brothers, Andrew Floyd Baker and Edgar Lane Baker.
He is survived by his children, Ron Baker, Platte City, MO, Linda Shanks, Platte City, MO, and David Baker and wife, Carol, Dearborn, MO, seven grandchildren, Josh, Jared, Jennifer, Rachelle, Johnny, Justin and Damien, ten great-grandchildren, Austin, Anthony, Andrew, Hailey, Dylan, Kaitlyn, Cassie, Abby, Gavin, and Jordan, , two sisters, Mary Helen Simmons, Gladstone, MO, and Ruby Etta Webb and husband, Oscar “Junior, Weston, MO.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 11th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville
Burial: Camden Point Cemetery
Visitation: 6:30-8:00 p.m. Tuesday April 10th at the funeral home.
