Raymond Earle Drinkwater
Raymond Earle Drinkwater, 52, of Smithville, Mo., passed away, Wednesday, May 23, 2007.
He was born on October 6, 1954 to Frank and Margaret (Brown) Drinkwater in Canton, Illinois where he grew up and graduated from Canton High School. He later graduated from Spoon River College in Canton, IL and Holts Culinary School in Peoria, Illinois.
Raymond worked at Lowman’s Café in Smithville for nine years and has left so many memories and has a special place in the hearts of all who knew him.
Raymond was loved by his wife, Faye, of nineteen years, his three sons, Joseph, Christopher and wife Shannon. and Shawn, two grandchildren, Brenna and Jared Hickle, Vermont, IL, his siblings, Ken Brown, Smithfield, IL, Evelyn Matheny, Cuba, IL, Estie Drinkwater, Canton, IL Ron Drinkwater, Pekin, IL and Marshall Drinkwater, Canton, IL and numerous nieces and nephews.
Raymond “Sugar Ray” had a huge circle of love for his friends and family. If tears were a staircase we would all climb to heaven and bring him home. Laughter and Love to all —Happy Thoughts.
A Memorial Gathering will be held, Sunday, June 10th, from 4:00-6:00 p.m., at the Smithville Housing Authority Community Center, 161 County Rd. F, Smithville.
