Ralph “Leon” Leland Martin
Ralph “Leon” Leland Martin, 87, of Camden Point, MO passed away May 11, 2016.
He was born on June 18, 1928 to Ralph Waldo and Louella Jenny (McIntosh) Martin in Maysville, MO. Ralph attended school in Weston.
On June 28, 1948 he was united in marriage to Wilma June Boydston. After their marriage they lived in Platte County where they made their home. Wilma passed away on November 10, 2014.
Ralph was a founding member of the Church of Christ in Weston, MO. Ralph and Wilma owned and operated Martin’s Garage for over 25 years. He was also a blacksmith and enjoyed gardening and in his early years, car racing. Ralph loved being in the garage with his grandsons and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded by his parents, son Ronald Martin, grandsons Steven Martin, Jr. and Shawn Martin; great-granddaughter, Stormy Martin; and sisters Mary Margaret Highlander and Ruth Johnson.
Ralph is survived by children Steven Lee Martin and wife Karen, Ralph “Eddie” Martin and wife Cindy and Debora Dianne Matthys and husband Alan; grandchildren Sami, Chuck, Sabrina, Bob, and Rhonda; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Brandon, Emery, Colby, Caitlyn, Peyton, and Aislynn; nephew, Marty Highlander; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Edgerton
Burial: Camden Point Cemetery
Visitation: 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the church
Arrangements: Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Edgerton

Ralph was a great neighbor and too much fun to visit with. I know how much he is loved by Sami and Bob. That is his legacy. None better.
