Phyllis A. Drake

Phyllis Arlene Drake, 80, of Stewartsville, MO passed away October 11, 2016.

She was born on April 30, 1936 to Hayden Pleasant and Maude Ethel (Maze) Inscho in St. Joseph, MO where she grew up and attended school. 

On October 4, 1955 she was united in marriage to George Woodrow Drake.  After their marriage they lived in St. Joseph until moving to their farm in Stewartsville where they made their home.  Her husband, George, preceded her in death on July 18, 2011.

She was a member of the Gideon Auxiliary where she was very active. 

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Samantha Drake; son Anthony “Tony” Drake; grandson Jeremy Drake; four sisters Ruth Robinson, Esther Marx, Ruby Warren, and Alma Taylor.

She is survived by her children, Randy Drake and wife, Rosalie, St. Joseph, MO, Kevin Drake, Liberty, MO, Jeanne Drake, Stewartsville; daughter-in-law, Sandra Drake; grandchildren, Christopher Drake, Darcy Drake, Stephen Clements and April Wood and husband Cody; sister, Louella Wood, St. Joseph, MO; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service:  10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 15th  at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower,

Burial:  Mt. Zion Cemetery, Gower

Visitation:  6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
