Phillip Shackelford

Phillip Shackelford, 83, of Trimble, MO passed away, August 23, 2017.

 

He was born April 23, 1934 to David Allen and Rosa Saloma (Cox) Shackelford in Trimble, MO.  Phillip grew up in Trimble and graduated from Plattsburg High School. 

 

On October 15, 1954, he was united in marriage to Linda Rose Zuber.  After their marriage, they lived in Trimble where they made their home.

 

Phillip was member of Local Union 518 and was a concrete finisher.  He owned and operated Shackelford Concrete from 1973 to 2006.  Phillip was a member of the Boys Scouts Tribe of Mic-O-Say. 
He enjoyed hunting, camping, hiking, and spending time in Colorado.  

 

Phillip was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Beverly Ann Galloway and Jeanne Sternecker, son, John Shackelford and daughter Kerri Houston.

 

Phillip is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home; children, Phillip A. Shackelford and wife Connie, Nancy Jones and husband Kendall, Randall Shackelford and wife Mary, Rosemary Robinson and husband Scott, and Richard Shackelford; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother, Larry Shackelford; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

 

Funeral Service:  2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 26th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville with one hour prior to the visitation.

Burial:  Ridgely Cemetery
