Peter Leslie Kolanchick

Peter Leslie Kolanchick, 62, of Platte City, MO formerly of Altamont, NY passed away Monday, November 21, 2016.

He was born on November 13, 1954 to John Chester and Eldaline Marie (Crawford) Kolanchick in Albany, NY.  Peter grew up in Knox, NY and graduated from Guilderland Center High School. 

Peter was an over the road truck driver for many years, retiring in 2000 due to health issues.  He was avid Nascar fan and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting firewood and eating good food.

He was preceded in death by his mother Eldaline Kolanchick; infant sister; and brothers John D. Kolanchick and Brian Kolanchick.

Peter is survived by his children Josh Kolanchick and wife April and Denise Peister and husband Noah; step-children Peter Bashwinger and wife Kathy and Randy Bashwinger and wife Jessica; his children’s mother Judy Kolanchick; fifteen grandchildren; brothers Mark Kolanchick, Gary Kolanchick, and Paul Kolanchick; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Services will be held at a later date.
