Paul Ronald Hunt
Paul Hunt, 69, of rural Agency, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2011 at his home.
He was born on July 31, 1941 in Franklin, MO. He grew up in St. Joseph and graduated from Central High School in 1959. He then served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietman War.
On July 2, 1969 he was united in marriage to Joyce Anne Farr in Miami, Oklahoma. After their marriage they lived Kansas City, St. Joseph and in 1991 they moved to Agency where they made their home.
Paul worked for Wyeth Hardware in St. Joseph, Columbus McKinnon Chain, Peerless Chain and Laclade Chain.
He was a Past Master of the Agency Masonic Lodge #10, PDDGM of the 7th Masonic District of the State of Missouri, and a 32nd Degree member of KCCH Scottish Rite Mason. Paul was also a member of the Ararat Shrine Temple, De Molay Legion of Honor, The Order of White Shrine of Jerusalem, Daisy Chapter #86 Order of the Eastern Star Farley, MO, American Legion Post #11 in St. Joseph, VFW in St. Joseph Post #1668, and was a Regional Coordinator of MOCHIP.
Paul was preceded in death by his father Ray Hunt, mother Opal (Hill) Hunt Harvey, and daughter, Shela Marie.
He is survived by his wife Joyce, of the home; son Brent T. Hunt, Easton, MO; daughter Paula Lee and husband Jeff, Metter, GA; two grandsons, Tytus and David; one great-grandson; brothers, William Hunt, Larry Hunt and wife Carol, J.R. Hunt; and sister, Mary Lou Kinart; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 25th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.
Burial: Frazier Cemetery.
Masonic Service 6:30 p.m. Monday with visitation following until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Masonic Children’s Foundation or Frazier Cemetery.
