Paul Curtis Laybourne, III

Paul Curtis Laybourne III, of Platte City, MO passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012 after a short battle with cancer. 

He was born on April 21, 1950 to Dr. Paul Curtis Jr. and Lillian Ruth (Stanford) Laybourne in Kansas City, Kansas. Paul grew up in Lake Quivira and graduated in 1968 from Shawnee Mission North High School. He later received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Aviation from South Eastern State University in Durant, OK. Paul was a northland resident for over 40 years.

Paul is survived by his wife of 43 years Vicky (Sherr) Laybourne of the home; children, Kindra Laybourne and Brian Laybourne; grandchildren, Trevor and Carli Johnson and Alyssa and Jaxon Laybourne; sister, Linda Housh and husband Bob; brother Jim Laybourne and wife Karen; niece Amy Lewis; nephew Ryan Housh and many friends.

Private family services will be at Ridgely Cemetery.
