In Remembrance Of
Patrick Karl, Jr
Patrick Duncan Karl Jr., 49, of Faucett, MO, passed away on August 15th, 2024.
He was born on December 19th, 1974, to Patrick Duncan and Karen Ann (Corkins) Karl in St. Joseph, MO. He grew up in Willowbrook, graduated from Mid-Buchanan High School, and attended the Hillyard’s welding program.
Patrick founded, owned, and operated Karl Refrigeration. He was an excellent cook who loved fixing all things, especially seafood, making the best salmon you could ever have—skills he proudly learned from his mother, Karen Karl. His love for the water ran deep, and he enjoyed fishing and later found a passion for scuba diving. Some of his fondest memories were spent fishing with his dad and brother, often bragging about catching the biggest fish. Patrick had a deep love for all food, from fancy dishes to the good old pizza nights at Old Chicago with his Aunt Doda (Verla Corkins) and Uncle Roger (Roger Wiedmaier), where he savored Meat Me pizzas with extra Italian sausage and shared endless laughs. Patrick was the father to Makinze and Patrick Duncan Karl III, loving them deeply and always trying his hardest. During times of strife, his love for his babies, Patrick and “Kinzie,” as he always called her, kept him going. Patrick also had hobbies in arm wrestling and motorcycles, and he got a kick out of getting his kids and nieces into all his interests. He enjoyed arm wrestling tournaments with the kids in their younger years and passed his love for motorcycles onto his son. In his earlier days, he was known as the fun uncle by all of his nieces, affectionately calling them all “sweetheart” and introducing them to new music. Patrick, called “Buster” by his dad Pat and anyone his dad met, was a charmer, making friends with anyone he met. He always knew his Lord and Savior. Patrick was a lifelong member of Faucett Baptist Church, attending since childhood when he first went with his grandparents.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Francis and Mary Ellen Karl, and Clifford and Winifred Corkins; father, Patrick Karl; and his son, Patrick Duncan Karl III.
Patrick is survived by his mother, Karen Karl; daughter, Makinze Karl; grandsons, Joseph, Mack, and Bayley; sisters, Kristi (Tom) Voisard and Shelley Karl (Robert Jones); brother, Jason (Courtney) Karl; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Memorial Service: 6:00 p.m. Monday, August 19th at the Faucett Baptist Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

I remember him making the BEST brusselsprouts and brownies and being so much fun. Big hugs to you all, especially Mackinzie. ❤️
