Pamela Carroll
Pamela Dean Carroll, born on November 25, 1957 in Anadarko, OK passed away at her home in Smithville, MO on January 4, 2025.
Though retired, Pamela kept busy with her arts and crafts, gardening, and fantastic cooking. Pamela most recently became part of a select team of researchers working to translate the Voynich Manuscript. Prior to her retirement, Pamela travelled around the USA teaching emergency management classes to Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT). Pamela also served as a Search and Rescue Liaison for the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency and with FEMA’s Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team (DMORT) utilizing her canine partner Cochise (a certified cadaver canine) to locate missing family members during the recovery efforts.
Pamela was married to Timothy Wayne Carroll, whom she met and married while both were serving in the US Army.
In addition to her husband Timothy, Pamela is survived by her grown children Steven Johnson (Amber Lee), Machelle Accolla (John), Samantha Sindelir (Jacob), Marie Reed (Ryan). Her grandchildren, Claire, Carlee, Ashley, Kylee, Gracie and Ivan. Her two great-grandchildren. Her mother Barbara Callahan, younger sister Debbie Bahavar, and younger brother Bobbie Dean Callahan. Her nieces and nephews, Jillian, Robert, Trey, and Corey. Great nephew and niece Kaedan and Sorreia.
