Orvel Eugene ?Peanie? Shafer, 86, of Edgerton, Mo., passed away Friday May 20, 2005 at his home.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara of the home, two daughters, Christina Shafer Jonas and husband, Don, Overland Park, Ks.; and Michelle Shafer Mills, Kansas City, Mo.; two grandsons, Shafer and Isaac Jonas; brothers, Marion Shafer, Edgerton, Mo.; and Dale Shafer, Smithville, Mo.; sisters, Kathleen Dodson and Virginia Shafer both of Smithville.

Celebration of Life: 7:00 P.M. Tuesday May 24, 2005 at the Edgerton Masonic Lodge.

Donations to St. Lukes Hospice in care of the Funeral Home.

In accordance with Peanie?s wishes, casual dress is requested.
