Ora Bell (Gibbany) Staggs

Ora Bell Staggs, 94, of Agency, MO, passed away, September 27, 2010 at the Gower Convalescent Center.

She was born on November 16, 1915 to Guy Knight and Ollie Dale (Stephens) Gibbany in Albany, MO. She grew up and attended school in Albany, MO, Elwood, KS, and Willowbrook, MO. She later graduated from Agency High School.

On October 12, 1935 she was united in marriage to Roy Lester Staggs. After their marriage they farmed in Agency where they made their home. Her husband, Roy, passed away, August 30, 1998.

Ora Bell worked for the State Hospital in St. Joseph as a cook for eight years.

She was a member of the Agency Christian Church and the Agency Homemakers Club.

Ora Bell was also preceded in death by her son, Glen Staggs; parents, three brothers, Woodrow Gibbany, George Gibbany, and Ross Gibany, one sister, Nellie Maude Schmult, and two great-grandchildren, Chris Dreier and Preston Budine.

She is survived by her son, Gene Staggs and wife, Genevieve, daughter, Karen Schlup and husband Larry, all of Agency; five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Gibbany, Tucson, AZ, sister, Jo Ann Simpson, Ukon, OK; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 30^th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.

Burial: Agency Cemetery, Agency, MO

Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
