Opal L. “Dude” Berry

Opal L. ?Dude? (Mitchell) (Cobb) (Hartman) Berry, 79, of St. Joseph, MO formerly of Plattsburg, MO passed away April 10, 2008.

She was born on April 12, 1928 in Plattsburg where she grew up and attended school.

?Dude? was united in marriage to Victor Hartman. After their marriage they lived in St. Joseph. He passed away in 1993. In 1998 she married Robert Berry.

She was a member of the Christian faith and attended church regularly.

?Dude? was also preceded in death by her mother, Elmetta (Heffner) Mithcell, two sons, Wendell and Truman Cobb, two brothers, Oakley and Alvie, and three sisters, Leona, Lilly, Margarette.

She is survived by her daughter, Esther Harris and husband, Mike, St. Joseph, grandchildren, Theresa, Thomas, David, Lois, Erica, Joshua, and Taushina, 12 great-grandchildren, three sisters, Nancy Streeter, Plattsburg and Wanda Belk, Kansas City, MO, and Alice Monroe, Columbia, MO, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12^th at the United Methodist Church in Plattsburg with visitation from 1:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Burial: Green Lawn Cemetery, Plattsburg.
