Norman “Dump” Auxier

Norman “Dump” Auxier, 71, of Gower, MO passed away Monday, January 27, 2014.

 

He was born on March 20, 1942 to Emmett Otis and Dorothy Emma (White) Auxier in Gower, MO where he grew up and graduated from Gower High School.

 

Dump worked for Perterson’s Garage in Gower and later owned and operated Auxier Garage.  Dump also worked for Ford Motor Company and was a lifelong farmer.  On May 4, 2013 he was united in marriage to Carol Proffit.  After their marriage they lived near Gower on the family farm. 

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter Christina. 

 

Dump is survived by his wife Carol; son Curt Auxier; grandchildren Austin Auxier and wife Hayley and Garrett Auxier; brothers and sisters, Charles Auxier and wife Mabel, Ruth Gates and husband Richard and Linda Auxier; father-in-law and mother-in-law Dean and Shirley Proffit; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

 

Funeral Services: 10:00 a.m. Friday January 31st at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower

Burial Allen Cemetery

Visitation:  6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Donations may be made to the cemetery
