Norma Jean (Graves) McNutt

Norma Jean McNutt, 66, of Gower, MO, passed away, Monday, March 17, 2008 at KU Medical Center.

She was born on July 31, 1941 to Curtis and Margaret (Hill) Graves in Chatsworth, CA. Norma grew up in Buttonwillow, CA where she graduated from Shafter High School.

In 1958, Norma was united in marriage to Glen Poznoff. From this marriage two children, Cassandra Elaine and Kevin Mitchell where born. In April 1967 she was united in marriage to Gary Allen McNutt. From this marriage two children, Marnie Marie and Lori Helene where born. In 1971 Gary and Norma moved from California to Bedford, IA. In 1985 they moved to the Kansas City area where they resided for over 20 years.

Norma worked in retail, was a volunteer coordinator for various nursing homes and was also an administrative assistant.

She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Plattsburg. Norma loved music, gardening and visiting with friends and neighbors.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gary McNutt in 2003 and her son, Kevin Poznoff in 2006.

She is survived by three daughters, Cassie Spencer, Bedford, IA, Marnie Mitchell and husband Darrin, Plattsburg, MO and Lori Heinrichs and husband, Joel, Plattsburg, MO, seven grandchildren, April and husband Dave, Gary and wife, Kyla, Kelsey, Brianna, Courtney, Isaac and Nathanael, great-granddaughter, Hailey and two great-grandchildren on the way, sister, Marie Hair, Bakersfield, CA, and brother, Curtis Graves and wife, Pat, Paicines, CA, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 29th at the First Baptist Church, 501 W Broadway, Plattsburg, MO.

Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, March 28th at the church.
