Norma Dale (Malott) Sharp
Norma Dale Sharp, 82, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Friday, August 20, 2010 at her home.
She was born on January 9, 1928 to Elmer J. and Villa Marguerette (Gresham) Malott in Parkville, MO. Norma was raised by George and Nora Larey in Tiffany Springs, MO and graduated from Parkville High School.
October 22, 1954 she was united in marriage to Alden Sharp. After their marriage, they lived on the family farm in Platte County where they made their home.
Norma worked for AT&T until becoming a mother when she stayed home to raise her family. She loved doing cross word puzzles and visiting with family and friends.
She was a member of the Second Creek Christian Church.
Norma was preceded in death her parents, two brothers, Myron “Poodle” Malott and Byron “Dumpy” Malott; and one sister, Marilee Campbell.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Alden; two daughters, Margaret Wagner and husband, Darryl, and Penny Craig; three grandchildren, Elise, Dane, and Natalie; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 24th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville
Burial: Second Creek Cemetery, Kansas City, MO
Visitation: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday August 23rd at the funeral home.
