NINA E. WINN

Nina E. Winn, 87, of the Kansas City area, formerly of Gower, MO, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2006.

She was born on October 28, 1919 to Phinace Albert and Lillie Feraba (Ratliff) Sunderland in Winfield, Kansas. Nina graduated from Dearborn High School.

On July 19, 1939 she was united in marriage to B.F. Winn. After their marriage they lived in the Edgerton and Gower area where they farmed and resided until 1982 when they moved to Independence. Her husband B.F. preceded her in death on June 11, 1985.

Nina worked for National Bellas Hess and later Davis Paint Company in North Kansas City for over 20 years.

She was a member of the Christian faith, the A.B.W.A. and was an avid bowler for many years.

Nina was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lillie, her parents and five brothers, Ralph, Jay, Gene, Albert and Lawrence Sunderland.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Winn, Independence, MO, Ralph Winn, Lee’s Summit, MO, one daughter, Gloria Rohde and husband, Lawrence, Hartford, WI, three grandchildren, Michael, Brandon and Courtney, two great-grandchildren, Nathan and Alyssa, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 12th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville
Burial: Allen Cemetery, Gower, MO
Visitation: 6:30-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home in Smithville.
