Nellie Maxola (Todd) Szulik

Nellie Maxola Szulik, 92, of Gower, MO, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2008 at her home.

She was born on August 2, 1916 to Charles Alexander and Jessie Maude (Burditt) Todd in Osgood, MO, where she grew up and attended school. Nellie later graduated from Plattsburg High School.

On May 8, 1948 she was united in marriage to Ted Szulik. After their marriage they lived in the Kansas City area, and later made their home in Raytown, MO. Her husband, Ted, passed away in April 1989. In August 1992, Nellie moved to Gower.

Nellie was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Donald Todd and Charles Todd and two sisters, Mildred Carrington and Claire Barnett.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, Wanda Utz and Betty Hopkins both of Gower, Steve Quinn, Smithville, and Tom Carrington, Tacoma, WA; several great-nieces and nephews, sister-in-law, Alma Todd, Plattsburg, and many friends.

Graveside Service: 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 17^th at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Raytown, MO.

Visitation: 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower, MO.
