NATALIE BALSLEY

Natalie Balsley, 78, passed away, Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at her home in Independence, Missouri.

She was born on March 12, 1928 to Montgomery Polete and Sarah Elizabeth (Cowherd) Balsly in Kansas City, MO. She grew up in Kansas City, MO, and graduated from Southeast High School. Natalie then attended Kansas City Junior College for two years and then attended Prairie Bible Institute in Alberta, Canada for one year.

Natalie worked as a keypunch for Standard Oil Company and the Federal Reserve Bank both in Kansas City.

She was a member of the Baptist Faith. Natalie’s great-great-grandmother, Clarissa H. Eve Balsley, was one of the founders of the First Baptist Church in Smithville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Naomi Marie Morgan.

Natalie is survived by one brother, George L. Balsley and wife, Dorothy, Raytown, MO; three sisters, Priscilla D. WolfsKeil and husband, Robert, Ft. Myers, FLA, Margaret J. Glassinger, Pensacola, FLA, and Gloria B. Cunningham, Sioux City, IA; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Graveside Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m Thursday, October 12th at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Smithville.
