Nancy Marcella Brown

Nancy
M. Brown, 82, of Smithville, MO passed away, Wednesday, September 23, 2015.

She
was born on July 12, 1933 in St. Joseph, MO.
 
She grew up in Maryville, MO and graduated from Maryville High School
where she was Salutatorian.
 

On
December 20, 1958 she was united in marriage to Marvin Dale Brown.
  After their marriage they lived in Maryville,
King City, and in 1967 they moved to Smithville where they made their
home.
  Her husband, Marvin, passed away,
April 2, 2003.

She
was a member of the First Baptist Church in Smithville.
 

Nancy
was a secretary for Growney Cummings in Maryville, Soil Conservation Service in
King City, Tobin and Clarkson in Kansas City, Denneyâ??s in Kansas City, Urban
Renewal in Smithville, Corp of Engineers in Smithville and First Baptist Church
in Smithville.
  She owned and operated
Nan Ceramics in Smithville.
 

She
loved art and was a wonderful portrait artist.
 
Nancy enjoyed crafts, her animals and most of all loved her
grandchildren.
  Nancy was a beautiful
piano player.

Nancy
was also preceded in death by her parents, her son, Bruce Brown, and brother,
Jerry Franke.

She
is survived by her son David Brown and wife Carri, Leeâ??s Summit, MO; two
daughters, Beth Anne Asher and husband Don, Smithville, MO, and Dana Lynn Boyle,
Platte City, MO; seven grandchildren; Chris, Casey, Chesney, Erin, Jonathon,
Cecily, Heather; one great-grandson, Trey, and one on the way; one brother, Jim
Franke and wife Avenelle; several nieces and nephews other relatives and many
friends.

Funeral
Services:
  11:00 a.m. Saturday, September
26
th at First Baptist Church in Smithville with visitation one hour
prior to the service.

Graveside
Service:  3:00 p.m. Saturday Nodaway
Memorial Gardens, Maryville, MO.

Arrangements,
Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville, MO.

    Beth – I’m sorry about your mom.  You are in my thoughts.  I’m sorry I can’t make the funeral, as Tony’s daughter’s wedding is that day.  My mom, Mary is also thinking of you.
