NADINE PARKS

Nadine Parks, 85, of Gower, Mo., passed away, Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at the Gower Convalescent Center.

She was born on December 4, 1919 to George and Blanche (File) Kepler in Kansas City, Kansas where she grew up and attended school.

On May 9, 1936 she was united in marriage to Earl S. Parks. After their marriage they lived in Kansas City, Kansas until 1948 when they moved to the Gower area. In 1953 they moved back to Kansas City, Kansas until 1966 when they returned to Gower where they made their home. Her husband, Earl, passed away on October 7, 1977. Nadine moved to Smithville in 1994 and in 2002 moved to the Gower Convalescent Center.

Nadine was a homemaker. She enjoyed her family and friends.

She was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Kansas City, Kansas.

Nadine was also preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by five children, Earladean Gloshen, Lawrence, Ks., Gary Parks, Gower, Mo., Larry Parks and wife, Nancy, Smithville, Mo., Charles Parks, Smithville, Mo., and Marta Orr and husband, Jon, Kearney, Mo., sixteen grandchildren, Dennis, Denise, Daryl, Larry, Jr., Leigh Ann, Ladonna, Lorne, Gary, Jr., David, Paul, Darrin, Tammy, Charles Jr., Brian, Michelle, and Melanie, thirty-seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower, Mo.
Burial: Allen Cemetery, Gower, Mo.
Visitation: 12:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.
