Myrt Hundley

Myrtle Lou “Myrt” Hundley, 86, of Gladstone, MO passed away January 22, 2017.

She was born on June 14, 1930 to Miley and Myrtle (Ross) Swinson in Kansas City, MO.  Her mother died at her birth and she was raised by her uncle and aunt Harry and Lucy Patrick in Paradise, MO.  She attended school and graduated from Smithville High School in 1948.

On October 5, 1968, she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Frederick Hundley.  After their marriage, they lived in Gladstone where they made their home.  Her husband, Bob, preceded her in death on September 19, 2005.

Myrt worked for 43 years at Farmland Industries in Kansas City, MO, retiring in 1986.

She was baptized at the Smithville Christian Church and was a member of the Hillside Christian Church in Kansas City, MO. 

Myrt is survived by neighbors and friends Clint and Faye Wisdom and Eddie and Debbie Stratton and sister-in-law Donna Hawk and her family.

Funeral Services:  10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 24th at Hillside Christian Church, Kansas City, MO with visitation from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service.

Burial:  Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Atchison, Kansas.
