Myrna “Sissy” (Frakes) Peck

Myrna C. “Sissy” Peck, 75, of Dekalb, MO passed away, Tuesday, August 13, 2013.

She was born on October 12, 1937 to William Samuel “Willie” and Florence (Crockett) Frakes in Dekalb, MO.  Sissy attended Sleepy Hollow School House and graduated from Dekalb High School.  She received her LPN from Hillyard Technical School. 

In 1955 she was united in marriage to John Robert “Johnny Bob” Peck.  After their marriage they lived in the Rushville and Dekalb area where they made their home.  Her husband Johnny Bob passed away September 30, 1977. 

Sissy worked as an LPN for various nursing homes.  She enjoyed her grandchildren and was known as Grandma Monkey. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Justin Hartman.

Sissy is survived by two sons, Jay Peck and wife Gail, St. Joseph, MO and Todd Peck and wife Teri, Dearborn, MO; four daughters, Myrna Peck, Dekalb, MO,  Jonna Anderson and husband Chuck, Wallace, MO, Kelli Buckler and fiancé Keith Stubbs, Dearborn, MO and Meloni Linville and husband Dan, Faucett, MO; grandchildren, Cory, Austin, Jeremy, Jered, Josh, Stefanie, Bailey, and Shohna; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Timothy, Liam, and Eliza; brothers, Ronnie Frakes and wife Berniece, and Paul Dean Frakes; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 16^th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Edgerton

Burial: Union Cemetery, Faucett, MO

Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
