Mildred Norine (Ford) McKown

Mildred Norine McKown, 75, of Smithville, MO passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011.

She was born on November 11, 1935 to Jess C. and Ruth (Adkins) Ford in Carrolton, MO where she grew up and attended school.

On July 29, 1953 she was united in marriage to Earl Thomas McKown, Jr. After their marriage they made their home in Smithville.

Mildred enjoyed baking, sewing, and shopping. Her family was her main love in life.

She was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers and sisters.

Mildred is survived by her husband Earl, of the home, children, Tommy Dean McKown and wife Judy, Jerry McKown and wife Diane, Debbie Bell and husband Reid, Teresa Moritz and husband, Darrell, Robin Meek and husband Mark, Ronny McKown and wife Lisa, Johnny McKown and wife Shannon, Sean McKown, Shelly Hyatt and husband Jon, and Kim West and husband Paul; twenty three grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; her dog, Atticus; brothers, Russ Ford, and Earl Ford; and sisters, Bonnie Winfrey and Barbara Ann Corf; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Graveside Service: 3:00 p.m. Saturday November 5th at Paradise Cemetery, Smithville, MO
