Mildred Louise (Hatfield) Langston

Mildred Louise Langston, 80, of rural Plattsburg, MO, passed away, February 4, 2009 at her daughters home.

She was born on November 6, 1928 to Ollie and Stella (Raymond) Hatfield in Stillwater, Oklahoma where she grew up and attended school. Mildred was 16 years old when she moved to Kansas City.

On August 23, 1947 she was united in marriage to Lowell L. Langston to whom she was married for over 50 years. After their marriage they lived in the Kansas City area until 1963 when they moved to rural Plattsburg where they made their home. Her husband, Lowell, passed away, November 29, 1997.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, sons, Lowell D. Langston, Sr. and Gary Dean Langston, brother, Charles Hatfield, and sister, Mozell Brooks.

She is survived by one son, Larry Langston and wife, Joyce, Holden, MO; one daughter, Barbara Simpson and husband, Bob, Kansas City, MO, four grandchildren, Angie Gann and husband Jeff, Tonya Leslie and husband Brian, Lowell D. “Donnie” Langston, Jr. and Tina, and Derek Ditto; nine great-grandchildren, Christopher, Christian, Amanda, Jacob, Dustin, Autumn, Sydnee, Sara, and Chance; brother, Harce Hatfield and wife, Lou, Oklahoma, sister, Ruby Brewer and husband, Charlie, Kansas City, MO; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2009 at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial: Mt. Zion Cemetery, Gower
