Mildred L. (Cogdill) Hansroth
Mildred L. Hansroth, 95, of Dearborn, MO passed away peacefully January 4, 2014.
She was born on December 11, 1918 to O.C. and Grace (Brown) Cogdill near Wallace, MO. She attended school in Faucett, MO.
On March 30, 1937 she married Ernest Hansroth in St. Joseph, MO. They moved to the family farm south of Dearborn where she resided for 73 years. Her husband Ernest passed away in 1987. Mildred lived with her daughter Judy and her husband Charles Rawlings at their home north of Platte City for the last year and a half.
Mildred’s biggest joy was cooking for her family. She prepared a Sunday dinner for everyone for 72 years. She also enjoyed mowing her yard, raising flowers, gardening, crocheting, playing cards with her long-time friends and attending “Fun and Friendship” and “Friendly Seniors”. She was a member of the Dearborn Christian Church.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ernest; sister Dixie Crabtree; and brother-in-law Delbert Crabtree.
She is survived by her daughter Judy and son-in-law Charles Rawlings; grandsons, Kelly (Michelle) Rawlings, Platte City, MO and Kevin (Tamara) Rawlings, Dearborn, MO; great-granddaughters, Madelyn Rawlings and Rachel Rawlings; many other relatives and friends and last but not least, her loving lap dog Bella.
Funeral Service: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 8th with visitation 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to the service at the Dearborn Christian Church.
Burial: Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Weston, MO
