Mike Testerman

Michael Lee Testerman, 65, of Edgerton, MO passed away November 9, 2016 as the result of a vehicle accident

He was born on May 6, 1951 to Raymond Wilson and Eloise Mae (Randall) Testerman in Independence, MO.  He grew up in Agency and in 1969 he graduated from East Buchanan High School.

On November 21, 1969 he was united in marriage to Mary Hunter.  After their marriage they lived in St. Joseph and Gower.  In 1981 they moved to the family farm in Edgerton where they made their home.

Mike worked for several John Deere Dealerships before opening his own shop, Testerman Farm Equipment Repair.  He was currently working for Horizon Equipment in St. Joseph.  Mike enjoyed horseback riding.  He later loved riding his motorcycle and traveling with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mike is survived by his wife Mary Testerman of the home; daughter Melissa “Missy” Kelley; son Mark Testerman; grandchildren Madelyn Thompson and partner Libby Hillenbrand, Nickolas Thompson and wife Jasmin, and Chandler Thompson; great-grandson Liam Thompson; brother Leon Testerman and wife Barbara; brothers in-law John Hunter and wife Debbie and Robert Hunter, sister-in-law Patty Anderson and husband Danny; nieces and nephews, Joshua Testerman, Rebecca Testerman, Chris (Toni) Hunter, Jennifer (Erbie) Phillips, Bryan Hunter, Elizabeth (Billy) Freeman, Casey Hunter, Anita Groom, Mandy (Chris) Pickett, Megan (Ryan) Vasut, and Glenn (Allesha) Groom; several great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many longtime friends.  

Visitation:  5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 11th at First Baptist Church of Gower

Memorial Service:  1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12th at the church

Donations may be made to Allen Cemetery.
