Mike McAdams
Michael McAdams, 78, of Smithville, MO passed away, September 25, 2025.
He was born on December 3, 1946 to Adelbert and Rosalea (Warfield) McAdams in Kansas City, KS. Mike grew up in Kansas City, KS and graduated from Wyandotte High School. He then served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
On November 29, 1985 he was united in marriage to Barbara Mae (Sestak) Bausch. After their marriage they lived in Smithville where they made their home.
Mike was a carpenter and builder and built many residential homes in the area. He enjoyed flying gasoline model airplanes with his family and competed at a young age. Mike loved fishing and hunting, and most of all loved family gatherings.
He was a member of the Grace Place Church in Smithville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mike is survived by his wife, Barbara McAdams; children, David McAdams, Fredrick (Trisha) McAdams, Janice (Monte) Stephenson, Janine (Mike) Muck, David (Kim) Bausch, Gregory (Kellie) Bausch; grandchildren, Cody, Madison, Abigail, Emma, Amber, Clara (Matt), Lauren (Corbin), Austin (Kallie), Carson (Sydney), Jentry (Blake), Michael (Hailey), Ayla, Kelsi, Matthew, Emmie; great-grandchildren, Paige, Evelyn, Harris, Jay, Juniper, Remington, Deegan, Gray, Aayan, Aaybrie, and Aayvianna; brothers, Charles (Marie) McAdams and Tom (Delynn) McAdams; sister, Pat (Bill) Ravenscraft; uncle Phil (Veronica) Warson; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 30th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 30th at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS.
Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
