Mike Cameron
Michael Allen Cameron, 73, of Cameron, MO passed away October 7, 2021.
He was born on September 3, 1948, to Frederick W. and Lucy E. (Bradshaw) Cameron in Washington DC. He grew up in Parkville, MO and graduated from Park Hill High School in 1966.
Mike loved his country and was proud to serve in the United States Marine Corp from 1969-1973. He was an avid fly fisherman, a quail hunter and he loved to ride his bicycle on the Katy Trail. Mike was the founder of the Paniolo Soccer Club in Kansas City North where he coached soccer and guided the lives of countless young men and women through hard work, dedication to a purpose, and commitment to others. He was awarded the Missouri Youth Soccer Association’s Coach of the Year in 1993, an award of which he was incredibly proud.
Mike loved his dogs Shaughn, Buddy and Gunny.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his beloved dogs Shaughn and Buddy.
Mike is survived by his sister Patti Newsom; his daughter Ann-Marie (Chad) Cannedy; son Marc (Monica) Cameron; his grandchildren and step grandchildren; Carli, Cade, Meagan, Mikaela, Paige and Lake; and his dog Gunny. A
Celebration of Life will be held from 1-3pm on October 23, 2021 at Recreation Park in Cameron MO Shelter House #1.

Sincere condolences to all his family and friends. He had a significant role in my son’s development as a soccer player and I remember fondly many soccer tournaments and good camaraderie with Mike. RIP

Mr. Cameron was one of a kind. I worked with him at the prison and it was my pleasure to get to know him. I would see him in Wal Mart and he would always stop and visit for a minute. I will miss him very much. RIP Mike.
