Michalina Stephania (Ptasznik) Predika
Michalina Stephania Predika, 89, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away, Friday, March 14, 2008.
She was born on September 26, 1918 to Andrew and Anna (Terpinka) Ptasznik in Poland and attended school and grew up near Tesadja, Poland.
During WWII her village was invaded and she was held as a Prisoner of War by the Nazi’s. After WWII she moved to America, in 1953 was united in marriage to Anthony Predika. After their marriage they lived in Charleston, West Virginia, later moving to Chicago. Her husband, preceded her in death in 1965. Michalina then moved to Southeast Kansas to be near family and later lived at the Villa St. Francis.
She is survived by one daughter, Tonie Augustin and husband, Tom, Smithville, MO; two grandchildren, Tim and Emily; cousin, Walter Ptasznik and his family, Erie, Kansas.
Memorial Service: 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 25th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.
