Michael D. Wade
Michael D. Wade, 67, of Plattsburg, MO passed away February 7, 2017.
He was born on August 3, 1949 to Garland D. and Louetta (Waters) Wade in Smithville, MO. Mike grew up in Plattsburg and attended Plattsburg High School. Mike served his country in the US Army.
Mike worked for Farmland Industries in Kansas City, MO for over 25 years, and also worked for Wyandot Inc. in Kansas City, KS. Mike enjoyed cooking and barbequing and loved taking many trips on his Harley.
He was preceded in death by his father Garland “Jiggs” Wade, brother-in-law Johnny Allen and nephew Paul Goad.
Mike is survived by his daughter Carla Wade; grandson Matthew McNabb; mother Louetta Wade; sister Judy Allen; niece Sandy Goad; great-nephew Zach Goad; numerous cousins and many friends.
Visitation: 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 12th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.
Inurnment will be held later at Reed Cemetery.
Donations may be made to Reed Cemetery.

I am so sorry for the loss of Mike. I worked with Mike during his years at Wyandot Inc. He has been missed and will continue to be missed by his friends and coworkers. It was always a pleasure to be around Mike. He had a great sense of humor. Mrs. Sandy Goad, thank you for caring for Mike during his illness. You are quite a lady.
