Mike was a true friend to me, a rebel in high school. He and I had a lot of great adventures. From the first time I met him at Mount Zion Baptist Church in 1974 we were inseparable. Some of my memories include the riding their old Ford tractor and the old blue (multicolor) Chevy sedan by the old Edgerton granaries. He showed me how to use a slide ruler (yep before calculators). Bonding in our trips to make money grinding old cookies in Kansas City warehouse and hauling hay with local farmers. He passed a school bus on a corner hill (scary-insane), I crouched down in the floor. His dad (Lee Earl) usually bought them cool toys, like new mini-bikes, and go-carts, which attracted a lot of friends. We played tag football in their side yard. I would stay overnight so I could eat their chocolate pop tarts. We rode our bikes all of the county. He was and will always be my best earthly man high school friend and many more memories I could share. Thank you for the fun memories, you will be missed.
